4 Days 3 Nights Retreat and Intensive Treatment to rejuvenate Your Life
2 Options: Rejuvenation Program or Spine and Join Care Program

Ayurveda is a Sanskrit word, derived from two roots: ayur, which means life, and Veda, knowledge. Ayurveda is the science of life. It has its root in ancient Vedic literature and encompasses our entire life; the body, the mind and the spirit.

Ayurveda was developed in India thousands of years ago. While modern medicine tends to focus on the management of illnesses, Ayurveda provides us with the knowledge of how to prevent illnesses and eliminate its root cause. The ancient Vedic literature clearly laid out instructions to maintain health as well as fight illnesses through therapies, massages, herbal medicines, diet control and yoga.

Ayurveda is considered to be the world's oldest comprehensive health care system and is inindigenous to India where it is widely practiced. This ancient art of healing asserts that science, philosophy and spirituality are all necessary aspects of healthy living.

At Chestnut Hill Eco Resort, we believe in the ancient practice and holistic approach to health and well being. We provide massages using traditional herbal oils and offer Ayurvedic consultation. Rejuvenation Program:

With the age increases the accumulation of toxins or free radicals in the body. These free radicals produced due to different metabolic activities damages the tissues and as such, the body. It is necessary to remove these toxin accumulations through proper procedure. Rejuvenation therapy helps to eliminate the toxins and enhances the body's immunity through their anti - oxidant & prophylactic properties. It revitalizes the body, mind and soul and helps in strengthening the whole system, toning the skin and generating a state of well being. Also known as Rasayana chikitsa it include treatments like Abhyangam (synchronized rejuvenation massage), Shirodhara (oil dripping treatment), Kizhi (massage with medicated pouches), Pizhichil (oil bath), Udwarthanam (powder massage), swedanam (Medicated Steam Bath), Njavarakizhi and Nasyam (nasal medications)etc. Based on the constitution and requirements of the individual, the physician may advise a combination of Panchakarma along with other rejuvenation therapies. A rejuvenating Herbal Face Pack is also a part of this therapy. It is recommended for all ages between 16 and 70 years.

Spine and Joint Care Program:

The skeletal system provides frame work to the body. Vertebral column, refereed to as the central axis, functions as a protector to the spinal column within. With the increase in sedentary mode of lifestyle now-a-days, there has been a steady increase in the problems related to the spine and joints. Conditions like spondylosis, spondylitis, ankylosing spondylitis, spondylolisthesis, osteoporosis, muscular spasm, sciatica etc., cause back pain, which can be further classified as cervical, thoracic or lumbar according to the affected area. Some of the commonly seen problems that affect the joints are osteo-arthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, osteoporosis, bursitis, muscular spasms, sore muscles and ligaments etc. Poor posture, strained muscles and ligaments, strenous physical work or exercise done without proper guidance, sports injury, anxiety, depression, obesity etc., are some of the reasons for back pain and other joint related pain. Our Spine and Joint care Package includes special treatments for the whole spine or localized areas/joints as per the condition. It is also effective as a preventive measure to avoid the possible spine and joint complications in people who had a history of such problems. Treatments like Abhyanagam, Swedam, Patrapotala Swedam, Choorna Pinda Swedam, Kati Vasti, Greeva Vasti, Pichu, Thaila Dhara, Dhanyamala Dhara, Shashtika Pinda Swedam andVasti (Enema) etc., are done as per the individual condition.
